We report a case of a year-old woman with chronic renal failure and secondary tumoral calcinosis with rare intraosseous penetration of the humerus. Rare appearance of cortical destruction and intraosseous extension of tumoral calcinosis into the medullary space was observed in the proximal humerus on CT and MR images. Since there is concern for pathologic fracture, radiologists should be aware of this rare complication of chronic renal disease. A year-old white woman with long standing history of diabetes and end-stage renal disease presented with a two month history of enlarging right arm mass. She reported having soft tissue masses around right shoulder and elbow for many years but was concerned about recent enlargement of the elbow mass. She denied trauma to this region.
China E-mail: wangch nanoctr. The epidermal growth factor receptor EGFR has been proven to be a validated therapeutic target for triple-negative breast cancer, a refractory carcinoma with high malignancy and poor prognosis. A dual-functional drug delivery system based on the conjugation of poly amidoamine PAMAM dendrimer with EBP-1 and the cell-penetrating peptide which is derived from trans-activating transcriptional activator TAT was established and used for encapsulating doxorubicin DOX. This dual-functional drug carrier significantly improved the anti-proliferation effect of chemotherapeutic drugs against human breast cancer MDA-MB cells in vitro compared with free DOX and mono-functional carriers. Modification of the dendrimer with EBP-1 and TAT peptides significantly improved drug accumulation at the tumor site in vivo , resulting in strikingly superior efficacy in tumor growth inhibition and prolonged survival.

Neurovascular complications have been reported from both plate osteosynthesis and intramedullary fixation of midshaft clavicle fractures. We wish to report a case of limb threatening ischemia from screw penetration of the axillary artery after plate osteosynthesis for a clavicle nonunion. A literature review of vascular trauma from midshaft clavicle fractures is presented. Neurovascular complications have been reported from both plate osteosynthesis[ 13 — 15 ] and intramedullary fixation of midshaft clavicle fractures.
